At Limelite Construction, we’ve designed a proven, step-by-step process to make building simple and stress-free. From the first meeting to final handover, you’ll know exactly what to expect and when. Our journey begins with understanding your needs and developing a tailored concept plan, followed by transparent pricing and contract signing. We then guide you through selections, detailed drawings, and council consents - keeping communication clear at every stage. During construction, our team ensures quality workmanship from foundations to finishing touches. Even after you move in, our commitment continues with a 12-month check-in and ongoing support. It’s a process built on clarity, care, and craftsmanship—so you can feel confident every step of the way.

1. Planning

1.1 Initial Meeting
We get to know your goals, vision, and scope of the build.

1.2 Build Estimate
We prepare a detailed build specification and cost estimate tailored to your plans.

1.3 Concept Plan Design
Up to three revisions of your concept plan, with one revision per week to refine your design.

1.4 Pricing & Contract Presentation
Quotes are prepared and presented—typically within 1–4 weeks.

1.5 Sign Contract
You pay a deposit, and your build contract becomes unconditional.

2. Organising

2.1 Colour Consult
Work with our interior designer to finalise kitchen, wardrobe, and interior selections.

2.2 Working Drawings
Geotech, title and topo surveys are completed, and detailed drawings are produced (4–5 weeks).

2.3 Client Sign-Off on Working Drawings
You review and approve final plans before submission for consent.

2.4 Lodge Building Consent (BC)
We lodge your consent application with council.

2.5 Building Consent Issued
Consent is typically issued within 20 working days.

2.6 Scheduling the Build
Your build is scheduled in our system and ready to go.

3. Construction

3.1 Earthworks & Foundations
Site is prepared and the slab is poured.

3.2 Framing & Truss
Frames go up, bringing your home to life.

3.3 Roofing, Exterior Windows & Doors
We wrap your home and make it weather-tight.

3.4 GIB Stopping & Painting
Interior linings are completed and painted.

3.5 Kitchen & Bathroom Fitted
Cabinetry, vanities, and plumbing fixtures are installed.

3.6 Floor Covering & Electrical Fit-Off
Final interior finishes and electrical fit-off take place.

3.7 Final Walkthrough Before Handover
We walk through the home with you before handover to ensure everything is perfect.

4. Move-In

4.1 Handover - time to enjoy your new home
You receive the keys and aftercare begins. We also provide education on your new home systems.

4.2 12-Month Check-In
We check in after one year to make sure everything is performing as it should.
